The last event of the Becatalaiotica 2021 final, by Leire Pellejero (Calahorra, La Rioja - 2000), will take place on Friday 3 December at 5 pm in Na Comerma de Sa Garita.
Darkness, spotlights and fabrics are the tools that Naire will manipulate between the pilasters and lintels of Na Comerma de Sa Garita to tell us a story called LAS SOMBRAS DEL PASADO, which deals with the most remote origins of the island of Menorca.
By converting Talayotic Menorca sites into open-air stages, the five finalists of Becatalaiotica -young students between 16 and 25 years of age- aim to create a free event where any method of expression is valid to transmit their vision about Menorca’s heritage or to propose new ways of understanding and/or enjoying it.
The attending public has to assess each proposal following a simple questionnaire. The author of the best valued proposal will win a € 2,000 scholarship.
