The navetas are funerary sepulchres where collective burials were carried out towards the end of the Bronze Age (1400-1000 BC). The Oriental naveta of Biniac is not the most monumental in Menorca, but it is very well preserved.

This is a circular construction with a structure halfway between the megalithic tombs and the elongated navetas of more advanced chronologies. It is surprising due to the large size of the stones used in the construction of the apse, but the current façade is a recent addition. When F. Hernández Mora discovered it in 1901, this addition already existed. Therefore, we do not know whether the old façade collapsed or remains intact behind the modern wall. Inside, there is no evidence of a chimney as in other navetas, which suggests that it did not have an upper floor.
