This month we interview Majo León, archaeologist, director of Can Saura and a member of the Scientific Council of the Talayotic Menorca Agency.

In under three weeks, the archaeologists removed 50 tonnes of stone from the "post-mediaeval" building in Torralba d'en Salort. On August 22 there will be a guided tour with the archaeologists team that has recently worked on the site, and explanation of the 2022 campaign.

As the transversal and inclusive project that is Talayotic Menorca, the medium-length film is available in Catalan, Spanish and English, also in sign language.

The Modular project team have completed the fifth field season at the Ciutadella site, focusing their efforts on this area.

This month we interview Rafael Mata, Professor of Geographical Analysis at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a member of the Scientific Council of the Talayotic Menorca Agency.

The prestigious magazine features the Menorcan candidacy for UNESCO World Heritage status on its US website.

The grants total 250,000 euros and aim to facilitate initiatives to improve understanding, safeguard and showcase historical heritage, as part of a funding call which this year for the first time includes intangible cultural heritage.

This grant will go entirely to excavation, restoration and consolidation projects in two of the most important publicly owned sites on the island: Torre d'en Galmés and Trepucó.

The Consell Insular de Menorca is sponsoring Archaeologist, a video game which aims to encourage the study of archaeology and Menorca's Talayotic culture through gameplay.

The aim of the 2022 season was to gain a deeper insight into the Andalusian settlement which existed in the 12th and 13th centuries, and to understand how they used and modified the Talayotic space. 

The Menorcan photographer Carlos Permuy is the author of this photographic work including poems by four island poets: Pons Ponç, Llucia Palliser, Pere Gomila and Damià Rotger.

Amics del Museu de Menorca revealed the news from the 2022 field season, the fourth undertaken in the northern part of the settlement. A visiting day is scheduled for 20 July 7:30 p.m. to explain to the public the preliminary results of the archaeological dig.
